prepare our students so that they may achieve their full potential in public examinations in Physicsencourage an enjoyment and interest in Physics and to stimulate their intellectual curiosity and appetiteencourage Sixth Form students to take more responsibility for their own learning present our students with a wide range of quality learning experiencesThese aims are addressed through enthusiastic teaching using our Schemes of Work which include the following elements:
regular end of topic assessments with testsregular setting and marking of appropriate homeworkappropriate use of ICT experimental work including investigations demonstrationsuse of Physics and engineering video tapesreading problem solvingproject workdiscussionsSpecific student objectives are embodied in the Department’s syllabuses for each Year Group and are enabled through our Schemes of Work.
